The First Post - 10.03.2022

 Hi there, 

So, 2020 and 2021 were tough.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been hard on us all and I think it's more important than ever to channel your thoughts and feelings into positivity in these difficult times. 

So, I have decided to fill this blog with beautiful lyrics from my favourite bands/artists, movie quotes, movie stills of scenes that mean something, life quotes, book excerpts and generally funny things that make me laugh and bring a little joy with them.

My name is Debbie.
In 2021 I made some changes to my life that I never thought I would be brave enough to make.
I found strength that I didn't know I had and I learnt more about myself than I have in 30 years.
I took a leap into a brand new career as a Learning Support Assistant at a secondary school and I absolutely love it. I wake up every morning and can't wait to go in to work.

I'm a massive Leicester City fan, lover of humour, music and movies.
I love video games - The Sims, Fallout, Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed, GTA, Gears of War and many more.

I love to read and drift away into other Worlds.

I really feel this text. I've always had underlying anxiety. When I was at school, I was always the "shy" girl who never liked to be picked on for answers, even though I knew them. I just hid at the back of the class, hoping to be invisible. The girl who was scared to go to Birthday parties or school discos because of how shy and insecure I was. The girl who melted into herself and hid away because I was too worried about what the other children would say and whether they would pick on me or call me names.
